PC Boot Problem

Just about 1 week ago I changed cases and I had a problem with the power switch as in I accidentally unplugged it from the top while installing the dvd rom.

 

Now my PC turns on and I can run my games all normally and everything works as it should, but my pc just has this problem where whenever I turn off my PC I have to switch off the PSU and hold the power down until I can turn the computer back on again which obviously isn't normal, whenever I turn on the PC without doing this however, results in my fans turning on and the cpu fan (hyper212 evo) going around full speed.

 

All I want to know is if there is anything actually wrong with my system and if there is anything I can do to be able to just turn off and on my PC whenever I choose to.
