Greetings from Sunny South Africa

I am looking to build a new Machine first of all this is going to be a Machine Primarily for Music Production Using Cubase 9 so I will be connecting outboard audio gear to the PC but I need the Motherboard to support Thunderbolt 2 and 3 Type C connectivity as the heart of my new Recording Studio is the Focusrite 8Pre X so Processing power and RAM is a big one... I also do some video editing with Adobe Premier Pro for YouTube Videos.

My Current Machine has a older intel core i7 with 12 gigs of ddr3 ram a graphics card that is so out dated that I cant even find a windows 10 driver for it. I work with multiple screens. With all that said though I also watched the 2016 buyers guide and I am still on a tight budget so I am not sure which i7 will be best for my needs. The case also needs to be as silent as possible as it will be running in a recording studio's control room. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I don't play any games on my machine at all, I have my XBOX ONE for that :-)

Thank you all in advance for any assistance. I've seen many builds on Linus's Tech Tips but never a recording studio workhorse so it would be really cool to get some help from the Gurus when it comes to an optimized Studio Machine, also I don't know how to overclock and so on so I just want speed and stability outta the box if you know what I mean?

Regards

Erwin
