Ram wont stay in the slot

Whenever I try to insert ram, it makes a sort of a fuzzy noise (i dont really know how to explain it) and it does not click. i can wobble it around and sometimes it falls out halfway to the point where I can see the pins (but it is still locked in place and wont go all the way out). Is this a ram or a motherboard problem? The motherboard is a gigabyte z170xp-sli and the ram is ballistix 16 gb ddr4. it only has 1 clip for the ram

Sounds like your Motherboard is damaged

RMA - And see if the issue happens again

Also I would check the Ram or any damage

Untypical, consult your motherboards manual it should have a note somewhere showing you how to do it (if it's done diffrent than usual by any reason)

Otherwise you have a shiny physicly damaged motherboard D:
