Bluetooth vs WiFi interference

I just built a Kaby Lake rig on this motherboard and now my problem is that as soon as I connect my Bluetooth speaker, my WiFi frocks up.

 

I'm connected to a TP-Link TL-WR1043ND (you won't find a spec page of it as it is EOL).

 

Anyways, any suggestions? - ones that doesn't involve me upgrading my router.

 

I am pretty sure they are interfering with each other because AFAIK, BT is also on the 2.4 GHz spectrum.

nope. Router is too far.

 

actually the only reason why I bought this board in the first place is the builtin WiFi + bluetooth.

If you aren't using AC, just buy a cheap $5 usb wifi dongle.

ok that's a pity, wired is always easier, in that case, it might be possible that wifi is not enabled when bluetooth is in use, but that doesn't sound correct to me.

I would personally suggest getting a bluetooth dongle instead personally, as the onboard wifi looks better than what a cheap dongle will give you
