144 hz or 100 hz g-sync?

arthurdemelo123

This is just my opinion, but if they are the same price / same panel / same specs all apart from those things, I would get the 100hz g-sync. But I'm not a huge competitive gamer, and even in comp games I'm in it for the fun/teamwork.

I'd go with a much cheaper free-sync display

are you just buying a new display? what's your GPU and what's your budget?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Why would he get freesync? If he wants G-Sync he has a NVidia GPU which doesn't work with freesync.

If the prices are close to equal, I would go with the 100hz gsync panel. Please provide us with the specific monitor, since it can make a big difference if the panel is ips or the size of the screen

Does 60 FPS on a GSYNC display 60 hz appear more 'smooth' than 60 fps/hz normal display?
I saw the amd free sync test program
its look more smooth but I don't know if it is marketing or really makes the diference

actually improves?
