i prefer nvidias feature to amds and nvidia drivers are normally better than what amds are so i was going for functionality and performance not just sheer performance

Please. BF4 is MADE FOR AMD. Of course it preforms better. At 1440 they preform the same tho.

most modern games are AMD games only a few are nvidia both companies make drivers for these new games neck and neck is not much to go by personally and this is coming from a sole Nvidia guy I would go for the 280x

I guess. I go nvidia due to these new price cuts. Its not all about performance any more. G snyc and shadow play are amazing.

The 280X is your best bet, the 4GB GTX 770s are way too expensive and the 2GB 770s run out of memory in a handful of games already.
