I ordered a new gaming PC earlier today and I just started to question what the best fan layout for my situation is. I am going to be building in the NZXT h440, my original plan was to put my 240mm AIO in the front of the case as intake and then 1 120mm fan in the back as exhaust and one 120mm fan in the top as exhaust. I'm wondering if it would be better to have the AIO in the top as exhaust, and if so should I have 3 120mm fans in the front or just 2. Also if the AIO is in the top should I also have a third exhaust fan in the back?

Please leave any advice or ideas you have.

Thanks

I would put the radiator as an exhaust because the heat would escape and not go inside your case. This doesn't really make a difference to the lifespan of the components when the radiator is being an intake, but it shouldn't matter much.

Also, why is this in the Air Cooling section?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think you would have to take out the HDD rails in order to mount the radiator at the front.

Yea I was planning on it since I only have one 3.5 inch drive

Alright so if i put the rad in the too, should I have 2 or 3 intake fans? And should I have a third exhaust fan in the back?

Ideally, more intake the better than exhaust but having a balance is good. I would put 3 in the front, 2 in the top if you can, and 1 in the back.
