SVCHOST.exe Limiting my CPU?

I've been around long enough to know that svchost.exe is an essential part of Windows, but recently I have noticed one svchost.exe in my Task Manager that can get upwards of 1,000,000K memory usage and use up to 25% of my CPU.

 

I use CAM software, CUE, PXOC, Intel Turbo LAN, Nvidia Control Panel, and Steam.

Just stop Windows Update service... MS intentionally didnt fixed it in order to drive more people to spyware10 .

Thanks guys! By disabling superfetch and wupdate, it is now down to 10% of what it used to be. If there are any more that would help (since it is at 170,000k) please tell me. Thanks again.

 

 

EDIT: On running Cinebench R15, my CPU score went from, 554 to 730 just by fixing those. Maybe that explains why GTAV was microstuttering!

You're  welcome, just dont forget to re-enable it once in a month and let it search for updates .

Oh, mine's broken. It doesn't search at all. I've let it run for 24hrs and tried to fix it, but nothing happened.
