PC upgrade

Once I buy this PC I do not plan to upgrade for a while, until I can afford something a lot better. I'm not looking for something 'amazing' just a upgrade from what I have atm and give okay performance for a few years. The mobo is the part I'm most unsure about. How much do motherboards affect performance? What motherboard do you think I should get?

Motherboards have no influenece on performance. If it has enough ports (usb, sata, PCIE) for your needs then thats all u need.
It can cost £60 or £200 depending on your needs.

As mentioned previously u can get by just fine with Asus/ MSI B150 (thats the lowest basic tier) or if u need more options then Asus/ MSI H100 or H170.
The H170 might have slightly better audio but dont quote me on that.

I own ASUS mobo atm but heard MSI is popular too so either brand is good. In your situation I would look at mobos under £100.
Theres way to many variations looking at them so I cant decide (go look at all of them) :/ but at least I gave a basic idea.
