I have a Corsair RM650x coming in the mail as well as a new case and GPU. I want to know if i can use two power supplies in my current system because my motherboard needs a certain PSU that doesn't have any 8 pin connectors. I was wondering if it was possible to jump the on cable to GND and just use the corsair PSU fpr the GPU. I was wondering this just because i will be buying more pc parts soon but i just want to use my new GPU with my current system. By the way my current sytem is certainly far from special, it is a core 2 duo e84 and also the GPU i will be using is the Asus ROG strix RX 480 and also the current PSU is a 220 watt.

It is possible if you do it right you could pull a successful Austin evans

Awesome, ill just have to find the schematics for the PSU so i don't jump the wrong pins!
