Hello,

The graphics card in my gaming laptop is on it's last legs so I am looking to build a new gaming PC as a replacement. I use my PC only to game and stream tv/movies. Types of load/games examples are: War thunder, total war games, unturned, Civ6.

Here is the build I currently have in mind. I would love feedback for improvements or if I made any mistakes.

Edit **updated for new feedback.

Not a NEX PSU. They are known as bad

Not that cooler if you want to OC. Dark Rock 3/Pro 3 will better though pricier

The KB is not a cherry MX swtich. It is a mechanical but I'd get a real mechanical not some unknwon switch

Why R9 Fury? Can you try for a 1070 instead?

That HDD looks way expensive

Good but don't get the SSDPLUS. Get a 275GB Crucial MX300

I'd spend an extra $10 on a BeQuiet! PURE ROCK or Cryorig H7 also

i7-6700k  Cooling: Deepcool Captain 240EX White GPU: GTX 1080Ti EVGA FTW3 Mobo: AsRock Z170 Extreme4 Case: Phanteks P400s TG Special Black/White PSU: EVGA 850w GQ Ram: 64GB (3200Mhz 16x4 Corsair Vengeance RGB) Storage 1x 1TB Seagate Barracuda 240GBSandisk SSDPlus, 480GB OCZ Trion 150, 1TB Crucial NVMe

A 1070 is $380 compared to the $260 the R9 Fury is. A Fury is faster then a 480/1060 for about the same price as the 8GB/6GB variants. He doesn't need a $60-$90 cooler also. An H7 or PURE ROCK would be plenty to keep temps below 80C at 1.35v.

Nice one on the HDD also, OP a WD Caviar Blue is $20 cheaper and is a good HDD

Well then I am sure OP doesn't mind spending 4 more for Fury X and better PSU + cooler

But yeah you manage to put an i7 + 1070 and a beast monitor that's impressive. Maybe cheaper RAM for a real Cherry MX keyboard?

Thank you for the feedback. I changed up the HDD, PSU cooler, and keyboard. I have already puchased the R9 fury though.
