Quad Channel Memory

In a few months I will be upgrading to a Rampage IV Extreme, 3930k and I have almost everything else planned out but I cannot pick some good quad channel memory, preferably 4x4gb memory and I will probably pick up 2, some rendering and editing will be done so that is why I want so much. What is your recommendation for this board or that has worked well for you?

optimally I would want to spend around $300 but I could probably go to $400-$450.

"Quad channel memory" is more of a marketing gimmick more than anything, given that you don't need a special kit to run it. You just to make sure that you have 4 or 8 sticks of the same memory and it would work fine.

As for a specific unit, I'd recommend getting a couple kits of the Samsung Green 30nm 8GB given it's probably the best value units out there.

Even if they don't directly ship to Australia, you've got a few choices for international delivery, such as shipito.com or priceusa.com.au who will buy it for you and then ship the products bought to you (who'll take their cut, naturally). That said, I would suggest 8GB DIMMs rather than 4GB DIMMs in the event you need even more memory (and they cost about the same for the same overall capacity anyway).

Most RAM links up fine in any configuration (single, dual, triple, quad) unless you have one or more faulty DIMM(s).

If that happens, just RMA.
