Hey guys,

So I really want to upgrade my processor from I3 to a I5.

https://uk.webuy.com/product.php?sku=SCPUINTI54460A

I dont want to change the entire motherboard and get DDR4 ram and all of that stuff. So I went on CEX and found an intel core i5 4460 for £90. Its second hand I know but its worth buying it than spending £200 on a brand new one.

So what do you guys think? Should I buy the processor from CEX or should I wait and save to get a basically new pc upgrade (processor, motherboard and ram +btw im very poor)

Thanks,

It is a good price. But perhaps you could wait for Kaby Lake and buy it used, since the Haswell CPUs will drop heavily in price, due to them now being 3 generations old.

Think how Sandy Bridge CPUs dropped in price after Broadwell was introduced
