Hello all,

I am looking to connect a multimedia 5.25" bay accessory, and it requires front USB 3.0 Header. I have one of these, however it is already in use, so comes my question, is there a splitter that I can use to connect this multimedia and front USB 3.0 Ports.

On a similar vein, would it be possible to get SATA 3 6gb/s splitters, so I can attach more hard drives than I have SATA ports on my MoBo.

If these products exist, what recommendations do you have for them?

Thanks, Protex

Anything that contains a data line cannot be directly split. In your case with USB 3.0, you cannot simply have a Y cable to split the connections. While I don't think there's such a thing as a USB 3.0 hub for internal connections, that's what you'd basically have to do to "split" it. Ditto with SATA.

EDIT: Your best shot is getting a PCIe card or something with a USB 3.0 header. Similarly with SATA.
