WiFi Extender with LAN in and out

brightlite

Ok so I've been thinking about this for awhile and I seem to be unable to get this right. So I have a router in another room and have an ethernet cord ran into my room so that I can connect to my computer but the WiFi in my room sucks. Now I know I can plug another router on the ethernet cord in my room, but the last time I had that setup, I ended up having 2 different networks and it was very clumsy disconnecting and connecting each one. So I would like to have is a wireless extender that has a LAN in and a LAN out that I can still connect my computer via ethernet but also extend the WiFi in my room as well. Another reason why I would prefer the extender because how small they are instead of having a large router and having to position it in a odd place so that it can reach the power outlet and my computer. The problem though is that i can't find any extenders like that. If anyone could lend me some info that would awesome, thanks!

hmm, i think the only problem with the router setup you had before was your configuration, if you can be bothered to fiddle around with the settings you might save yourself some money. i dont know much about it but the whole two networks thing sounds to me like you didnt set it up as an access point correctly. look into it, hope i helped a bit aha
