Paypal

If my friend buys 80% ($240) and I want to throw in 20% ($60) of the total price of $300 for a product, lets say speakers.

How do I/we go about doing this with PayPal?

Thats all my friend has available on the credit card that PayPal uses. I however have cash.

The online seller from over seas that is selling the speakers only takes PayPal.

You don't store money on Credit Card, only on debit

Get a prepaid with your cash and add it to PayPal

Get a prepaid credit card?

My friend has a regular credit card from a major national bank, not a prepaid credit card. His credit is good.

Or are you saying I can get PayPal gift card/prepaid?

Like how at BestBuy I can use PayPal + a Best Buy Gift card at checkout.

In US you have prepaid PayPal card that you can add to your account. Canadian has normal gift card like Visa Vanilla or MasterCard Vanilla

Your friend has Credit Card or Debit Card?

A Major National Bank regular credit card. Canada.

I will do a bogus checkout of the website and see, its a very small independant online store.

Check with your bank for prepaid visa/master card. CIBC has one. If it was something like 50,100 ,150 (round numbers) I would also suggest go to Shoppers Drug Mart and buy a prepaid card there

Your friend can transfer money from bank account to PayPal balance (it takes some time)

And you can add your gift card to the PayPal account

During purchase select both gift card and paypal balance as a payment option

This particular online retailer at checkout only has two options - 1) Paypal and 2) Credit Card or Visa Debit

If I send money to my friends email address, the money I send him will be held within his PayPal account until something is purchased. Then when the product is purchased by him, Paypal will take whats available (the balance [credit] of $60) plus whats needed $240 and $240 will be taken out of his credit card?

How long will it take for my money to be deposited into the Paypal account?

I feel like a fool for asking, but with me one payment is always done. Non of this split payment methods, but see my credit card attached to my Paypal account has a larger limit then my friend. Just that my friend is a little broke this month, he is on a fixed income.
