How to control case fan speed

My GIGABYTE motherboard has only one 4-pin fan connector, I am using a SilverStone CPF01 splitter to connect two case fans.

Gigabyte has worse fan control of all current mainstream mobos. Speedfan is best, but you can try System Information Viewer too.
