ok I will try the drivers first to re download those do I have to go through the whole installation process again

so I have already pared my vive and was playing on it then I exited steam vr and left to go do something else and now im back and there is a red light on the headset and it wont pair I went through all the trouble shooting on the htc vive web sight and nothing worked

Well, you clearly have a history of pissing your money away so why do some more by phoning up HTC support?

 

Like my best suggestion is turning everything off and on again (ie: PC, Vive etc) and failing that, re-installing drivers/software. What does the red light even mean? Is there an error message, could you possibly be any more specific?

when I lonch steam vr to open a game it says "not ready, headset not detected"

yes I just did that had no change

 

should I go ahead and delete all local data and re download it
