So I recently bought a 55in Samsung tv and the power supply or something broke or just a bad power board. I have known in 3 other cases of samsung tvs doing this from two of my friends and my sister. so im giving up on them and looking for a 55" tv 1080p reliable and good for gaming if possible.

How recently is recent? If it's within the warranty, just get Samsung to replace it if they will. I've never heard of a new-ish TV doing this. But if you really want another brand, i'll turn it over to the other members who are more familiar with TVs of other brands. I've only dealt with Samsung for the past few years, and just bought another one for Black Friday.
