I know the driver size is different between the two by like 3mm. Is there much of a difference to spend an extra 20 and go with the revolver in regards to bass and quality of sound?

I'm looking at the HyperX cloud core ($69.99) and the Revolver ($89.99).. I don't know whether I should go ham and get the revolver or just save 20 and go with the core.

I own the revolver and its a decent headset, but I believe the core has very similar internals so I doubt there would be much difference. Wouldn't the cloud I or II be cheaper than the revolver?

Do you get a really nice boomy bass with the revolver?

Cloud 1/2 and the core are practically the same without the accessories.

A lot of reviews talk about the sound stage and the highs and lows being better on the revolver. While some other reviews talk about how there isn't much difference between the cloud and revolver.

The bass is very noticeable with it, but I wouldn't say its a bad thing (Not that I have much experience with headsets, not an audiophile or anything). There are also other issues with the revolver and its metal construction (Slight clamping force and vibrations when knocked). I would just save $20 if you are on a tight budget (I haven't used the core though).

What do you mean by the vibrations?

When you say noticeable, is it like the kind of bass that you feel when sitting next to a subwoofer(I'm into that).

If the Revolver has way more punchier bass than the cloud headset. I would def put down the 20 dollars just to go the extra mile for some heavy punchy bass.

Its if you have it on and it gets knocked, you can hear any vibrations though the metal. As I said, I have no idea how the core sounds like, but the bass on the revolver is pretty good.

I would say save the extra cash, the sound difference is kinda marginal from my experience.

That being said, both are good headsets but i don't think the extra cash spent is justified.

Is the noise cancellation on the headphones good?

Pretty good, I can barely hear myself typing on a mech keyboard.
