Is there a difference?

Before i pulled the trigger on spending my money on the amd x4 860k i came across another one on amazon.

It caught my eye at first because it was a lot cheaper and it looked the same but when i scrolled down the page it was a 2016 model instead of the other one which was a 2014 model.

I want to go for the cheaper 1 but i'm not sure if the newer model will work on my motherboard that i want to buy for it.

Thanks and good thing you reminded me of that. I guess i'll wait until i see real world benchmarks
