Newegg and amazon reviews are your best friend.

Used an G2770PF and a XL2720Z, The BenQ panel had somewhat nicer colours (Honestly If I had taken the time to play around with the AOC options apart from bringing the brightness up and turning on all the 144hz beneficial options I could have gotten it about the same)

With the AOC I got freesync aswell and paid $100 less, I would buy that monitor in a heartbeat.

Unfortunately never had a good quality asus, The LG monitor I've tried was an IPS so the colours were better, The best way I can position buying an AOC monitor is - If you want the tech behind a good quality monitor and don't mind the poor support, the fact it's not "name brand" and don't really care for the gimmicky stuff BenQ and other brands offer go for the AOC.

Keep in mind they are owned by TPV who also own and create a large amount of Phillips, They also Design and Manfacture TV's and Monitors for a few other companies.
