Hey guys, how are you all?

I currently have a Dell piece of crap that was bought like 10 years ago and it's finally on it's last legs, I couldn't even give it away if I tried. Can you please review the parts I've listed below and see if they're alright? I'm wanting to spend no more than £550-600(GBP). The computers use will be surfing/browsing the Internet, online shopping, social networking etc. Watching Full 1080p HD Films/videos on YouTube, Netflix, LoveFilm and NowTV. But I download the majority of the movies I watch, and I have reasonably fast Internet, (I Think it's unlimited Fiber Optic, my provider being Virgin Media) so I want something that can download fast too, you'd think that would be standard as it will be a new computer anyway but, yeah. And also the occasional FPS game like Soldier Front.

Thanks guys!

Total = around £600

Even getting an i5 for your build is overkill, something fx-4300 will do much better

you can use the savings towards a 7770 or if you downgrade your ssd to a 64gb (really don't need a 120gb boot drive and also dont buy intel, they're much too expensive for the tiny extra performance), you can get a 660ti which will deliver much better gaming performance

Also a 400W psu will be sufficient to power your system

As for the sound card, it depends on the motherboard but they usually come with 5.1 or 7.1 onboard audio however its really poor quality compared to a dedicated sound card although most regular people really couldn't care less about the sound, its more about the graphics

Will do thanks. I was originally going to go for Intel/B75 setup but I was browsing some websites and just wanted someone else's opinion. I want a GPU because I doubt in-built chip's will be able to play flawless 1080p playback, and although I don't play many games, and the games I do play aren't exactly demanding, I still want that opportunity in case I wan't to in the future. And thanks for the suggestions, but I'm a DVD fan :) Plus, Blue-ray's are pretty darn expensive.

I would recommend a computer based around the A10-5800k FM2 CPU, It's a budget cpu and is fine for what you want to do with the computer. Oh and do you have a computer case preference? Here's a build (500.63 Euros) http://pcpartpicker.com/p/JYyP

And a 64GB SSD won't be enough, as I'm going to store a copy of Windows 7 I already have on it, (For faster boot-up times etc) and I keep most of the movies I watch. And in all honestly, I don't know why you don't seem to like Intel SSD's, I was originally going to buy a Corsair Force GT/Neutron GTX SSD until I realized I didn't exactly need the performance they offered, I'd rather have an Intel SSD that's both reliable and good performance than an OCZ or a PNY SSD that's half the price, but will be absolutely crap. And I know enough that I will never in a life time need anything like a 660Ti for watching 1080p videos or playing Soldier Front.. That's what you'd class as overkill. A 400W PSU may be sufficient however it'd probably be at it's capacity, and there's no real 'decent' 400W PSU's.

But thanks for your feedback, please feel free to post if you have any more suggestions.

And at Socky, I forgot about Cases! Ah.. More money /: I'll probably go with the Corsair 200r case. At around £50 it's arguably a good benchmark for cases in that price point.
