I'm interested in getting another 680 for SLI, but the only place I can get one cheap enough is eBay. There are two used ones for ~ $300-$350AUD locally, all of the new ones are much more expensive. Both are from high rated sellers and one has a warranty.

Would you suggest buying cheap used over expensive new on this card?

Either way I'm going to overclock the shit out of it.

Thoughts? :) Thanks guys

You can get an EVGA 680 for $370 at PCCG right now. Is a better option

I already have that model GPU, having two different cards would look silly :(

And the second link one has a 2 year warranty (I assume under the seller) and less than 6 months use + less shipping.

I would get it only if you can get some kind of return policy so you can have a period to test this card out and ask for the proof of purchase or serial number to see if it really has warranty.

If the card is discontinued and significantly more expensive to buy new I'd look for a used one for sure, I've owned several used cards and only had one issue, but that was an issue with the honesty of the seller not the card developing a fault after I bought it.

If you're saving money and the card is in good condition/boxed then it's definitely worth considering, warranty left is an added bonus.

There should be no problem, just make sure to give it a checkup and put new thermal paste on, good as new.

In case the moderators do not ban me as requested, this is a notice that I have left and am not coming back.
