Differences between SK monitors

Hello everyone,

I'm looking to get a cheap 1440p monitor off Ebay. I've been looking at these, from dream-seller :

http://www.ebay.com/sch/merchant/dream-seller?_nkw=x-star+dp2710&_sacat=&_ex_kw=&_mPrRngCbx=1&_udlo=&_udhi=&_sop=12

I'm wondering, what's the difference between the 'regular' and the 'Perfect Pixel' one? Is it worth the 30$ price difference?

I have to stick with Matte display because there's a window right besides my desk.

There's also 'Tempered glass' What's that?

I didn't know it was this cheap, 300$ for 1440p monitor .. that's cool. I'm aware that it's a bit of a gamble, that there can be problems that wouldn't be covered by the warranty, but I'm also being told that monitors from X-Star and other similar brands have a decent CS and everything. What do you guys think of that?

Regarding the quality of the picture, is there a big difference between the quality you'll get with this and what you would have a with a 600$ 1440P from Amazon/Newegg? (assuming both work as expected, without problems) Would you guys recommand that I save up and get a monitor from ASUS, Dell, etc, in a few months?

Thanks a lot for the help and advices :)

Tempered glass is a treated type of glass, usually found in windshields. Strong is what it is.

Tempered glass just means it's been treated with heat to help realign the structures, making it slightly more durable. Unless you're throwing stuff at your screen, it's just marketing.

"Say it, do it, preach it, shout it, but never, absolutely never, believe your own bullshit"

I want one but I'm waiting for a G-Sync monitor to come out so when i get a new GPU i can use it. Personally G-Sync means more to me then more pixels or better colours.
