my setup is an ITX with a g1 gtx 980, yes it has some pretty tight space between the GPU and the power supply shroud.

before my max temps are 70c but recently its peaking at 78-79c while playing overwatch at epic settings fps locked at 70fps.

I have a 200mm intake in front and using slightly aggressive fan curves on all fans including the GPU.

I already replaced the thermal paste on my 980.

Later I will try to play on an open test bench to see if its the position of the card with the psu shroud.

any suggestion to solve this?will placing a 2x120mm or 2x140mm intake will solve this?

PS: gpu is running at stock frequency

Is your gpu a blower style? (i don't think so) I think your GPU is recirculating air. You should try using some smoke to see what your airflow is like :)

Sounds like poor airflow. Need to get the hot air out faster.

Try everything on max instead of oven like fam curves.
