So I'm finally nearing the purchase of my first pc and I am almost certain this is what I want.

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/zCWGhq

It will be used for gaming and production and will need to be something I can rely on for 5-14hours a day.

I am happy for any suggestions or recommendations as I have a few hundred left over.

Cheers.

Id say pick up the Crucial Mx300 1.1tb SSD. You will notice 0 difference between it and the 850pro unless you plan on moving huge amounts of data often and its about 1/2 the cost per gb.

CPU: I5 4590 Motherboard: ASROCK H97 Pro4 Ram: XPG 16gb v2.0 4x4 kit  GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 PSU: EVGA 550w Supernova G2 Storage: 128 gb Sandisk SSD + 525gb Mx300 SSD Cooling: Be Quiet! Shadow Rock LP Case: Zalman T2 Sound: Logitech Z506 5.1 Mouse: Razer Deathadder Chroma Keyboard: DBPower LED

You would be better off adding an HDD to the list, obvious reason is Storage if you are thinking of gaming.

And a Corsair or EVGA PSU would be a good choice.

Mouse: Gamdias DEMETER II- 3200DPI Gaming Mouse, Operating System: Windows 8.1

Good build, but I'd recommend a EVGA G2 or Corsair AXi PSU over the CM one for better power delivery. 27"/144hz is a huge monitor, so make sure you really want it before purchase.

How far would you say you would want to be from the monitor? Kind of a random question... Ik, just never been in front of a pc before, used a 13" all my life.

I want the best for production and gaming, alongside some chill movies ect.
