Hello everyone,

I need some help. I need a new power supply for my older PC.

Specs:

EVGA nForce 680SLI A1

Intel Q6600 2.4GHz running @ 3.25GHz

6GB OCZ platinum DDR2 800 MHz ram @ 900MHZ

Corsair H100 + fans

2x XFX GForce 9600 GTS in sli

XFX Gforce 8800 GT XXX edition used as dedicated physx

3 HDD

DVD burner

3 120mm case Fans.

I have tried using a few of the online power supply calculators but they have very different outcomes some lower then what i was using before that failed some at over 900W.

I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions. I have been debating between getting a 850W or 1000W PSU. the 1000W would ensure proper power but could be out of its inefficiency range. the 850W I am scared might be pushed to its limits under extreme loads. I do 3D modeling so equipment does get pushed to the limits on occasion.

As for pricing i would like to be under $150 but $200 is my limit. I have seen ultra x4 850W on sale for $110 and the CM silent pro 850 W for the same price.

I have tried to find someone with a power supply so i could figure out my power load but none of my computer building friends has anything laying around as powerful as i need.

Thanks for any help.
