It is only in skylake so how you say

X99 pch supports only  pcie gen2 with DMI2.0.

there is a switch between pch, m2 and the last pcie slot

That means if you use sata express or m2 sata, the lanes come from PCH. If you use NVMe ssd or pcie ssd, the lanes come from CPU.

Your CPU has 28 Lanes, you will not able to use threeway SLI

But you have enough lanes to install pcie SSD

This means if you use SLI, your 1. GPU run @x16 your second GPU run @x8 and you have left 4 lanes for the last pcie slot (m.w SLot).

 

The last pcie Slot shares Bandwith with m2. When m.2 SLot is occupied with pcie m2 SSD, the last pcie Slot is disabled because of using the Lanes from CPU.

I do not know where you got that, must be a mobo with added PCIe lane switch

LGA2011 platforms have crazy numbers of PCI-E lanes compared to the LGA115x platforms.  NVMe SSDs work just fine on the LGA115x platforms, so not a problem on LGA2011 platforms from that perspective.  Firmware support for booting may very well be the issue if you want to use a PCI-E SSD as a boot device.

 

People get way, way too caught up on PCI-E lanes.  Only relevant, really, if you're running a server that needs crazy I/O.

That diagramm was by way of illustration... You have no Idea.,..o.O

The last PCIe  bound with CPU LANES in X99 and shares the lanes with m.2 SLOT for PCIe SSD. That means THere is a switch between them in ASUS, GIGABYTE, MSI and all other boards.

That is not a custom implementation of MSI.

M.2 Slot use CPU Lanes, that is the fact in X99 Boards

This motherboards would feature the M.2 slot only with a data transfer speed up to 10 Gb/s if m.2 Slot would use the PCH Lanes.
