pricing ram?

when i was assisting one of my friends in looking for pc parts i noticed that the ram prices are extremely high, for 16GB ddr4 they are asking about 100€ on every online shop. i swear that it used to be cheaper half a year ago, is there a reason for this price increase?

i've heard more people complaining about it, has something to do with samsung their chips i believe.

Has to do with an supposed shortage of components. Same thing is happening with SSDs and Hhds if you notice and the prices are expected to go up

Highly doubt prices will go down. If anything, the prices will go up
