i5 3470

Go to solution Solved by TheProfessionalAmateurs,

Well, you have to have an overclocking motherboard, a cpu with an unlocked multiplier (you can tell if it has a "k" at the end of the model number), you need a decent cpu cooler, and finally, you may not get much overclocking out of your cpu at all. Its all just the "silicon lottery" meaning that all cpu's will overclock differently regardless of model number.

I have an Intel core i5 3470 clocked at 3.2GHz

Can I overclock it higher than 3.6GHz?

(3.6GHz is the turbo clock speed)
