just build a new computer with an ASUS Z170-A in a R5 Define with windows 10.

What I tried so far is:
- checked if HD Audio cable on motherboard is correctly plugged in. It is.
- Tried setting the front panel to AC97 in BIOS instead if HD Audio.
- reinstalled drivers several times and messed with every setting once to no avail...

I've noticed that in the software for mine there's an option to tie up similar input jacks. Disable that option, then they should work independently of each other
