I decided to go with the small form factor gaming PC this time

I have seen completed builds with the Node 304 and Kraken X41 so I'm quite positive they would fit. I've also seen tiny fully modular PSUs that have enough space for the graphics card.

The games I play: CS:GO, Civ VI, Cities Skylines, The Witcher 3, Battlefield 1. I also do a bunch of graphic designing and software development and I believe what I (will) have is more than enough.

As for my mass storage, I'm planning on building a NAS with my Raspberry Pi. Speaking of storage, do you guys think I should go for the 500GB? I just don't want to spend more than A$2k ($1.5k USD, pretty much).

I appreciate you guys letting me know what you think :D

To my fellow Australians: do you guys know where I can get a good quality anti static mat that's not too expensive?

In my experience. Using a 250gb SSD for all applications and 2 HDD in raid 1 for storage of pics, vids, and photos. I would say that a 250gb is not enough. I ended up getting a 480gb and using my 265gb as a scratch disk. And then sold it.

CPU: Ryzen 7 2700x cooled by Pure Rock Slim // RAM: Gskill Flare X 3200mhz CL14 2x16 32GB// GPU: Powercolor Red Devil RX 6650 XT 8GB// Motherboard: ASRock B450m Pro 4 // PSU: Seasonic G550 Gold 80+ // Storage: 4TB pcie nvme game drive, 512 GB m.2 sata3 OS Drive, 4 TB WD Red HDD // Monitor: Samsung S22D300 21.5" 1080p 60Hz, MSI 27" 1080p 144hz Freesync 1ms display // Peripherals:  Logitech fancy shmancy keyboard and moise with rgb and gaminess stuff, very fancy | Kingston HyperX Cloud Core headset

Give yourself some headroom with 1tb. And if you are storing pics or something you value, 2x 1tb in mirror raid is choice.

With your ssd, depends on how keen you are on maintenance. If you think about games now days, for example the division and battlefield 1 will cost you nearly 100gb of storage!!!!! And thats only 2 games. Doubt you want to keep uninstalling and reinstalling things just to manage your space. Go 500gb ssd atleast.

I have had a 256gb ssd for a few years now and im over it. I bought a 500gb m.2, just waiting on delivery ☺

Thanks for the advice, guys!

I might have to milk my wallet for a tad bit more and go with the Samsung 960 EVO 500GB, which costs 2x more (makes sense)

After a month or two, I will expand to a 1TB mechanical hard drive for my documents, media, and not-so-demanding games (I do play a lot of old school games as well). I will post a link here of my completed build (with progress) in a few weeks!

Cheers
