Hyper X Cloud II mic fixed?

nkucz

Hey guys,

I was looking into purchasing the Hyper X Cloud II headset but read a lot of negative reviews on the microphone, and have heard some youtube tests of the microphone and I must say I agree it sounds pretty subpar. However, I did read somewhere that drivers were released by Kingston that fixed the microphone quality (they recognized the problem), and it had to do with the soundcard implemented. Apparently if you had removed the soundcard and plugged the 3.5mm jack into the computer directly the microphone sounded better as well. I don't know if any of this is true and don't have sources, other then what I read on a forum. Anyone have any opinions on this or factual evidence? Otherwise, I think I will be forced to shell out the extra $70 for the Sennheiser Game One headset.

Thanks!

I have them and the mic is fine for me

do people ever complain about the quality or quietness of the mic? I have a Blue Snowball lying around somewhere so I guess it doesn't matter too much.

People exaggerate from what i have seen. Like we can hop in a discord chat or something if you want to hear my mic
