This is my computer specs

  • Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4690 CPU @ 3.50GHz
  • RAM 8.0 GB
  • Video Card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
  • MB ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC. H81M-D PLUS (SOCKET 1150)

I dont know what else to put but. I think I just need to upgrade my CPU and maybe more RAM. but I'm not sure on how to find out if a new cpu will fit my motherboard.

I've never really upgraded a PC before and this is my first computer I've made.

Do I need to back things up when I change my CPU or I can just turn off my computer and swap it out??

Basically, I want to play Dishonoured 2 at a solid 60fps but looking at Can I Run This it says it doesnt even hit the recommended specs

USA Rig CPU: Intel - Core i5-4690 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor GPU: GTX 1080

JPN Rig CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 2600X 3.6GHz 6-Core Processor  GPU: GTX 1080

what GPU would you suggest? Also what are some key things I should look for in a GPU rather than asking here everytime?

Is it bullshit? How can I know if my RIG can run a game then?

I dont think I've ever linked my windows to a MS account? Does that save the data?
