Because many of us like the performance of having 2 cards when we can take advantage of it. Why does it matter why he wants to run 2 anyway?

Pascal's SLI scaling is terrible at low resolutions with only about a 25% gain for a 1080 SLI at 1080p (discounting games that didn't scale at all) and a max of  71% gain at 4K 60Hz (again discounting non-scaling games). While the 71% at 4K sounds appealing, but this is only in games that support AFR and multiple GPUs in DX11.

I'm glad you can simply regurgitate what others say with no real knowledge for yourself. Please educate yourself a bit better then return to this forum with out giving such horrible advice as you have on various threads.

Any Graphics card with a GTX 1080 chip inside can be SLI'ed with  yours. You can use any other card, but it'll look so weird.

People expect 100 percent scaling but don't apreciate the fact that it's harder for a gpu to get from 120 to 130 fps than it is from 60 to 70

that why they scale better at 4K

AMD (and proud) r7 1700 4ghz-

also (1600)

asus rog crosshairs vi hero x370-

MSI 980ti G6 1506mhz slix2 -

h110 pull - acer xb270hu 1440p -

 corsair 750D - corsair 16gb 2933
