Ok, So i broke my iPhone 6's screen yesterday, I actually cant see anything on the screen, Its like i spilled ink all over
So i made a backup and whatnot, authorized my pc and stuff, backed up passwords too

I updated the OS on both phones;

So when i tried restoring to my 5c, I had some issues so i did a factory reset, I went through the setup and selected restore from itunes backup,

after like 3 hours (note its only about 18gb of data) the phone eventually booted, i was able to use it but all my apps were still busy restoring

I left the phone overnight and now, nearly 20 hours later, only 2 apps have restored, the rest of them are still darkly shaded.

Any help would be apreciated, Thanks

From Apple: "Stay connected and wait for a progress bar to appear and complete. Depending on the size of the backup and the network speed, the progress bar might need a few minutes to an hour to complete. If you disconnect from Wi-Fi too soon, the progress will pause until you reconnect."

Well, i cant really say much about this, but your Iphone 5C is the 32GB variant, right :l? Maybe leave it for another day and if the problem persists, cant you make a more slimmed down selection of what you wish to restore?

Lmfao xDxDxD

But really though

This is getting irritating and i cant use anything .-.

The only progress bar that came up was when i was restoring, but the main issue is that my apps wont restore

(i can still use the phone, like default apps etc. but all my docs and music etc is taking forever to restore)

But yeah, i guess i'll just wait a bit more, Thanks

It may depend on your internet connection. 18GiB are not that much but on a slow connection it could still take days.

Or maybe Apple limits their server's throughput to make sure they can handle the traffic.

I don't know how long this operation normally takes, maybe @ShadowCaptain does though

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

I didn't do the update via iCloud, The device is connected directly to my PC via lightning cable

Which is why i don't understand the prolonged times it takes to merely restore some apps, since its local.
