Hi, I am currently in the process of trying to upgrade my pc. Although, I was curious as to what components I should swap out. I was originally thinking to get the new GTX 1050, Although I don't know if my CPU will bottleneck it or not.

Current PC:

GTX 750ti

i5 3330

8x2 Dominator DDR3 Ram

430w PSU

The 1050 isn't a big enough upgrade over your 750 Ti imo. It will only be 20% faster or so.

Instead try to grab an RX 470 which should be 70% faster for $170 or equivalent.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

I saw there will be a i3 K (yes, overclockable), but if you are tight amd will do the job just fine, I wouldnt buy kaby lake *cough* *cough* Cannonlake 10nm *cough* *cough*

Its more waiting to see what the price is for Kaby lake, if its not much more than current gen's i'll probably pick one up. if both kaby lake and zen are disappointing though i'll be going for 6600/6700k

If I were to get a RX480, How much gddr5 ram would I want?

4GB is fine tbh. Unless for some reason you want to run DOOM's nightmare textures or some other super crazy game setting.
