Hi my friend is going to build a PC soon, and for the colors he chose white as the main and red and blue as the accents.

Would it be possible to mix ram colors? I.e buy this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?item=N82E16820011179 (2 x 4) and then buy the same thing, but in blue and have them alternating.

Also could he use something like this GPU http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0FU4HG7970&cm_re=msi_gtx_1060-_-14-127-963-_-Product, take of the black part, and spray paint it a blue color?

Thanks!

Yeah, you could spray paint it and mix and match ram. Although, I really hope you don't plan on buying a 1060 for $304.

I was tempted to say that red memory is for AMD builds and blue is for Intel, but I was afraid you might believe me. :)

(Heat spreader colour makes no difference - in fact, heat spreaders don't even matter.)

On a moire serious note - It may be possible to paint part of the graphics card's plastic, but be very careful to get a paint that is compatible with it - some paints can warp/damage some plastics. Be sure to get a paint that is designed "for plastic" and test it out on a small patch of the back side before doing the front.

A sieve may not hold water, but it will hold another sieve.
