Recommended Battery Charge %?

Kyzer

Some people say 40-80. Some say don't worry about it until it gets low and then charge to 100%. I was wondering what's best for preventing the zero point from getting muddled on my mouse battery (mx master)

But first, let's talk about parallel universes.

If you are storing the battery, for the maximum possible life it should be kept at about 40-50%.

If you are using the battery, it practically doesn't matter. Let see if I can put this in an example that may make sense.

In some first person shooters, you have a pool of ammo. You can reload your gun at any point and all you're doing is transferring from the pool to the magazine. In other first person shooters, if you reload, you discard what was left in the magazine and load up a new magazine from the pool, effectively wasting ammo. Lithium Ion batteries work like the first way.

Good explaination

#2 is nickel batteries, correct?

No. Ni-Cd batteries can develop a "memory" when charged incorrectly. Ni-MH batteries will not. Ni-MH batteries are MUCH more common for this reason.

Just charge and discharge the battery to whatever you want. The control circuits built into your device are smart enough to keep the battery in top shape regardless of how you use it.
