Budget PC gamer 2013

T1000

¿what do we ned?, for me at least...

the minimum, of each component is...

650 watts PSU (no 600)

256 bits GPU (Nvidia or AMD)

4 cores 3000 mhz CPU (any new intel or AMD is cool)

Windows 7 - any version is ok (we just ned one for the DX11)

500 GB HDD (no SSD)

4 GB od ram DDR3 of 1600 mhz (no 1333)

and a DVD drive (DVD is not death... yet :cool:)

it be cheap, and we can move almost any game "at max"

¿do i miss something? :)

  • AMD 7850 - 2GB GDDR5 256bits
  • gBANDWIDTH = 170.2 GB/s
  • gSHADERS = 1024 unified
  • gCPUoc = 1050 mhz
  • gMEMoc = 1330 mhz (x4)
  • gPIXELfillrate = 33.6 GP/s
  • gTEXTUREfillrate = 67.2 GT/s

saying your minimum acceptable specs mean nothing without knowing the budget limitations

also why no ssd...... you're system will benefit greatly from it

and if you are going for a super low budget build $500-, only expect to smoothly run medium to high settings on current AAA titles

1. a 550W PSU will have more than enough power for any single GPU system... higher wattage than you need only decreases efficiency.

2. Memory bandwidth and the width of the memory bus isn't necessarily indicative of GPU performance

3. The difference between DDR3 1333 and DDR3 1600 is not noticeable.

enough is not enough, only a 650w PSU sure you that

you will no ned upgrade that component, in case you get a good GPU

(650w come with good +12v rails, they are the best choise)

even if there is no difference between 1333 and 1600

they cost the same, so buy a 1333, is just losing money

(DDR3 1600 is the best choise)

256 bits GPU minimum are 660 and a 7850

but you can add a 7970 or a Titan if you wish, with this 650w

(a 550w can not do that)

You can put a Titan on a 550W if you want. The TDP is 250W and the CPU uses around 75-125W. 550W can handle that and some overclocking no problem. It is not the most efficient but the difference isn't much. GTX 660 and 660 Ti are both 192-bit.

oh, true, i completely miss that the 660 is 192 bits

i got confused with the 560 that was a 256 bits

my fault, thanks :)

i would never dare to run a Titan with a 550w PSU

i stay with my 650w minimum (no 550)

i tink a cheap 7850 of 1GB and a FX-4100 (with a 650w), it is a budget build

  • AMD 7850 - 2GB GDDR5 256bits
  • gBANDWIDTH = 170.2 GB/s
