I've been thinking about getting a joystick to play star citizen, as that's probably the most optimal/immersive/fun way to play it, but I barely know anything about joysticks. I have an old Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro that I thought was awesome, but it uses a DB15 connection instead of USB and I have no idea where the AC adapter is, so sadly it's pretty much unusable. I've looked for a bit but I wanted to know what are your suggestions.

Also, so far I've only liked this one. All the others look really cheap.

I was also looking to get one of these for star citizen, and I was looking at this one http://www.amazon.com/Saitek-X52-Flight-Control-System/dp/B00030GSJY/ref=sr_1_3?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1382923541&sr=1-3&keywords=Flight+stick

Would like to hear peoples thoughts on it. Sorry for hijacking your thread :P

Ha I still have my Sidewinder Pro, I don't think it's the forcefeedback one though.

'Bout a year ago I got a used Logi Extreme 3D Pro for $15 but it broke after not long.

I suggest you go for a good joystick but get it used, it's bound to be better than a cheap new one.

I've been looking myself at used Saitek X52 Pros around $60-80.

It needs to be a female DB15 and I don't know where the AC adapter is so it's still unusable.

I don't really like buying used items unless it's from someone I know, I'm always afraid there's something wrong with it or that it might break after a short time.

I can understand that but i'm fairly tolerable of it. If you get a used product that was built with good durability vs buying a new product that's not built well and both options are same price, chances are you will get your money's worth with the used product.
