Curved vs Flat Ultrawide?

Hello. I am looking at the LG 29UC88 as it is on sale for £250. I am coming from a cheap ass 16:9 Packard bell monitor, so any of these will be an improvement, but is this a good monitor for that price, specifically is the curve good, or should I get a flat ultrawide, and if so, which one? My budget is under £275.

OK. I am really considering an ultrawide, but if someone asks for a good 1440p monitor, I'll point them to that. Thanks!
