Windows Task Scheduler

Hello :)

Hopefully someone can help me, I want to use Windows Task Scheduler to make my computer shutdown every night at 10pm unless i tell it not to. So something like a popup that says computer will shutdown in 1 minute unless you click here.

Anyone know how this could be done?

I would just create a basic task to start program (shutdown.exe) with the -s switch in the arguments. Then if needed to cancel, just run a shutdown -a to cancel the shutdown (could just create a shortcut on the desktop)

 

 

the shutdown -s takes around 15 seconds and will prompt you (so you know it will shutdown soon). So unless you are extremely slow to execute the shutdown -a command... It could get annoying :P

I'm going to put a link to my PC specs which actually aren't my PC specs and I cry myself to sleep everyday so I can have these PC specs but I can't afford these PC specs so PC specs PC specs PC specs PC specs PC specs PC specs.

I saw soothing once and it gave a popular says this computer will shoutdown in X minutes unless you click cancel.

 

If I could get it to do that it would be great
