Audio input problem

Your mic is probably bad, then.

After I cleaned my pc and assembled it back, my microphone turned my voice high-pitched, like chipmunk's. I tried reinstalling drivers, that didn't work. Bios settings didn't change anything. It's really annoying. I'm using MSI B85M-G43 Motherboard and Nvidia gtx 770 (if that matters).

 

P.S I reapplied thermal paste of the motherboard chipset, but I didn't apply so much, that it would short out the chip itself (if that all matters)

Hit your Windows Start key, type in Sound, go to the Recording tab, right click on the microphone that you're using, click Properties, go to the Listen tab and enable the "Listen to this device" option and hit apply. If you still sound like a chipmunk it's either something with your mic or there's some software installed on your PC that's pitch shifting your voice.
