hey I was noticing that if I plug my computer straight into modem I get 114ish Mbps but through my router/WAP/switch it is in the 35 40 max mbps same results repeated on pinging different servers on speed test.net and Verizon speed test a few times each. Is there a easy way to make it so it goes through my pc first (preferably even if its off/sleeping) and then to the WAP; so my pc does not have to be on all the time but I get the benefit of greater bandwidth on my system that can utilize it. is there I switch expansion card I could throw in.

Not really, you can use your PC as a switch if it's on, but not when it's off.

I would just recommend getting a higher bandwidth router/switch if you can afford it.

My procrastination is the bane of my existence.

I make games and stuff in my spare time.
