Steam + JBOD Setup = Nightmare

So I was cleaning up my computer case and pulled out a few hard drives to remove dust between them. When putting my computer back together I noticed a few hours in that my main steam games drive, drive E, had not been properly plugged back in and upon further diagnosis i realized I had not put the SATA cable back in properly. I reconnected the sata cable and powered on the computer. Now, steam has forgotten the file path to my steamapps folder on that drive, so all my games on a 3TB WD drive are now occuping space and physically there, but steam cant find them. I went through steam and set the data location to the correct path but it can't find my older games. Will I need to redownload 300 steam games and apps or is there a workaround for this before I get pissed off and throw away all my hard drives in favour of a single 6TB.

If you add the drive letter back into library, then click download, it should find the install on your hdd and just connect the links
