downgrade to a much cheaper 1tb (this will last you a while and you can always add more storage) and invest in an ssd. That will definitely be able to play games at high resolution.

The only reason I'm here is that I have homework that I don't want to do

Honestly you'd be better off getting a WD Blue drive over a Red one being as Red ones are designed for NAS builds. Unless that's what you're building then I'll exit stage right.
