You need this for the voltage/current specs and info on finding those out: http://support.creative.com/kb/ShowArticle.aspx?sid=6098 The connector is standard barrel connector. I'm almost positive it's 5,5mm but take the exact measurements before heading out. You're going to find the adapter in a hardware/electronics store. Not just any adapter will have such a high voltage but it's entirely doable. Take the adapter with you and ask the seller if need be. I'm saying, this doesn't have to be an original Creative device.

- The connector needs to be spot on both inside and out. Poor contact will cause interference.

- The polarity has to be spot on. Swapping the + and - sides can break stuff.

- The voltage (measured in Volts or VDC) needs to be very close, preferably spot on. Too little will cause interference, too much breaks stuff. It's not really a matter of 0,1V but try to get as close as possible.

- The output current has to be at least. The current measures in the adapter are how much it can handle, not how much it will send. So if your original adapter has output current of 1 Ampere, a 2 Ampere adapter will work but 0,5 Ampere adapter won't.

- The input current doesn't really matter in this case. We're talking about an Amp at the most. Probably not even half that. Something like ten Amperes might blow a fuse but that's like five microwaves at full blast. Your speakers don't draw anything near that.
