i will just be cooling a 6700k at around 4.5ghz and am stuck on the radiator in a phanteks entho evolv

the radiators i am choosing between are the ek predator 240 or the kraken x62

please not which ever ill get i will be swapping out the fans for the fractal venturi hp series 120 or 140 depending on the radiator

noise is more important and i want it to be quiet so which one? sounds like a dubm question but i am new to liquid cooling so yeah

the radiator will also be going in the front of the case to fill in the blank empty space

If you want quiet go air, AIO well cant really do that as it has more moving parts. Its probably better to get the EK260.

ive heard some liquid coolers can be nearly as quiet, im not looking for dead silence, im looking for something that is much quietr than what i have, and also cools well in the summer, i would get an air cooler but im not a fan of the massive heatsink covering the motherboard though i will consider it

There's a new product on the market that should be appropriate for you: Be Quiet! Silent Loop 120/240/280mm

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT 16GB GDDR6 Motherboard: MSI PRESTIGE X570 CREATION
AIO: Corsair H150i Pro RAM: Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB 32GB 3600MHz DDR4 Case: Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic PSU: Corsair RM850x White

I have considered that cooler,  have read some reviews and found that the 280mm version has similar noise levels to the x61(though I'm looking at the x62 which should be quieter than that)  it also doesn't have as good a cooling as the x61 even tho I am going to be changing out the fans but will consider it

On a 240/280 AIO you already have one extra fan over most air coolers, and even vs those air coolers with x2 fans, AIO fans aren't often silence optimised fans, they will be higher pressure necessary for rads. Add to that the noise from a pump and water moving around, and by definition you have a sum total of more noise making elements than an air cooler. They also don't perform any better. Countless reviews have proved this. I totally understand the aesthetic reason for AIOs, although I think some air coolers such as Cryorig's look very nice. The BeQuiet or new Kraken X52 is probably your best bet, although unless you really can't stand the aesthetic, I'd check out the Cryorig air coolers.

System: Ryzen 7 5800X - Gigabyte X570 Aorus Master - Noctua D15S Chromax - 32GB 3600 RAM - EVGA Black 2080Ti

I am aware performanc  is basically. Similar,  and as I said I'm not looking for pure silence,  if I do decide to get an air cooler I'll be getting an r5 with no window,  but I do like the evolv and the x62 and with some better fans (Fractal venturi)  I think it can go pretty quiet as I heard the pump isn't too loud

I've used both an X60 and an H80i. I never heard the pumps, maybe because my case fans aren't 100% silent, but anyway, it was never an issue for me. Hence, overall noise level boiled down to fan noise level, or to be precise, fans-blowing-through-fins, which is the same source of noise as air coolers. It's worse, because pushing through radiators seems to make more noise than air cooler's fins, and it's better, because fans need to speed up less often. All in all, the X60 ended up being quite modest in noise output. The H80i as well most of the time, but when really pushing the CPU I needed the extra rpm, which comes with jet engine noise.

Probably a 212 Evo would be quieter than either, though. But I have a gargantuan V10 still in use, and it's much louder than any of the AIOs, even in idle. Maybe it's because the previous owner managed to bend some fins, can't be sure, but coming from that both AIOs were a big relief :P

Did you keep the stock fans on both of those aios by an chance? And I'm not to worried about the pump or the water because I also have an h80i and I can't hear the pump or water

In the H80i I did. I bought the Kraken second hand, and it came with some low noise, low rpm fans that were better than using it passively, but didn't make much of a difference between min or max speeds. I replaced them with stock fans from an H110, so I can have the jet engine effect in the X60 as well if needed :P
